Progress on the Computer Lab

Well today was a little bit of a bust. The morning started out with learning what happens when you plug a computer set to 120 volts of electricity into a 240 volt outlet. I'll give you a hint. It's loud and it smells bad. We got our build of Windows all prepped and were just about ready to start reinstalling Windows on all of the computers in the computer lab when we broke for lunch. Once we got to the area where we eat, we found that the lights weren't turning on. Power was out... for 4 hours. Right up until it was time for us to head back to our guest house.

That said, Pete and I were able to get things prepped so that tomorrow can run much smoother, pending electricity. We also set out our plans for the men's training next week and are really excited about that.

We also got to spend time with our "chaperones", the girls tasked with helping us out with whatever we need this week, playing a few card games. We taught them Slap Jack and they taught us a game similar to Uno, played with a normal deck of cards. The rules seemed to change a little bit in the girls' favor throughout the game. There is something especially powerful in just spending time talking with each other and learning new things from each other.
